What is TRASHIE?
The birth of Trashie came from the concept of swapping and sharing clothes. It is too often that clothing gets stored in our wardrobes, and garage and then ultimately ends up in a landfill. Those rare items that might not fit right, that cute top that you love but have worn a few too many times. Those items that you “don’t want to give to the op shop”. Trashie addresses the need for a middle man in the tale of what do I do with these clothes that I love? We want to introduce an event that allows consumers to swap their loved pieces and gain new and exciting items.
Guide to swapping

Prepare

Purchase a valid ticket to our upcoming event.

Gather together the pieces you wish to swap and assure they are clean and ready for a new home.

Assure the items meet the terms as we do not accept certain brands, dirty or damaged items.

Ensure you are not emotionally attached to the item

Select your swapping items with others in mind and make sure others will see value in it

We accept all categories of apparel and clothing accessories (NO INTIMATES, SWIMWEAR or ACTIVE WEAR)

Swap

Arrive to swap at your desired time (early bird gets the worm)

The trashie team will quickly sort through and accept the items that meet our terms

You will receive tokens equivalent to the items you have submitted

If I bring items and don't find anything, what happens?In the event that you don't find suitable items for exchange, you can either exchange back your items if they have yet to be swapped, or keep your tokens for the next swap. We have never had this experience before, so if this is you, we will happily void any payment for the next event.

Are we able to wander in and out?YES! Enjoy a bev or grab a bite. New items walk through the door every minute, so when you come back, there will be different pieces to exchange.

What do I do with my leftover tokens?If you have any leftover tokens, these will be added to your TRASHIE member's account to be utilized for the next swap. We maintain a log of all tokens for all attendees, but make sure to create your account with us so you can easily view your wallett <3

Is a matching set counted as one or two items?A matching set will be considered 2 items as they will be able to be seperated.

Are we allowed to bring accessories?Yes Yes, they will still be judged by the brand/quality system.

Can I send you pics of my items and tell me if you will accept?Ofcourse! Send it on through and we can provide feedback for any quereies you may have.
